[Harp] Dufeuille, Pierre Philibert. [under the pseudonym 'Blattman, P. P.'] (d. 1821)

Sammelband of Works for Harp - SIGNED

Sammelband containing three complete harp works by the eminent harpist, each published by the author and each with his signature to title page, together with a grouping of miscellaneous selected movements.  Several works are described as "avec accompagnement de Violon," though only harp scores are present.  144 pp.  Upright folio.  Engraved throughout.  Moderately heavy wear to contemporary green boards, corners heavily bumped, upper front right corner perished, faded impressed ownership stamp "Mme DU PAVILLON" to front board.  Light foxing throughout, few early paper mends to margins, music generally fine.  Complete contents described below.

Pierre Philibert Dufeuille, known as Blattman, was responsible for many of the arrangements published in the popular periodical Feuilles de Terpsichore (established by the Cousineau publishing firm, represented in the present collection, in 1784).  Interestingly, several works by Blattman are known to have been in the library of Jane Austen and her family.
