LISZT CONDUCTS BEETHOVEN - Original 1844 Weimar Broadside Program, "Egmont."

Original program from Liszt's tenure as Kapellmeister at the Weimar Hof-Theater. At the January 27, 1844 performance of Goethe's "Egmont," Liszt conducted the overture and incidental music by Beethoven. As was usually the case, the conductor is not listed on the program, but it has been established that Liszt conducted the present performance. (1461)
