Original brass medallion awarded to the great Rat Pack entertainer in 1967 by the Grammy Awards board, the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. An inscription engraved to the reverse reads: ''In appreciation / Sammy Davis, Jr. / The Best on Record / 1967''. Davis participated as a host in ''The Best on Record,'' a televised Grammy's award special aired by NBC. Diameter 3 inches. Slight areas of wear to both sides; overall fine.

The actor, dancer, and singer Sammy Davis Jr. is remembered as one of the greatest entertainers of all time; his entertainment career stretched from vaudeville to comedy to music, with outstanding success in each.
