Signed Photograph in "Can-Can"

Signed photograph of the American actress, dancer, and singer in costume for the 1988 touring production of Cole Porter's Can-Can.  Rivera has inscribed along the crinoline of her dress "To Paul / Love / Chita Rivera."  A press release for a week of performances at the Wang Center in Boston is affixed to verso.  Very fine.  8 x 10 inches (20.7 x 25.4 cm.).

Rivera's performance in Can-Can came a year and a half after breaking her leg in 12 places in a New York City car accident.  It took two metal plates and twelve screws to put her leg back together again.
