Svetlova, Marina. (1922–2009)
Signed Seymour of New York photograph of the great French ballerina, who has inscribed "To Paul / Most sincerely / Marina Svetlova." Text to image reads "Compliments of Selva Dance Shoes." In very fine condition. 5 x 7 inches (12.7 x 17.8 cm.).
Early on in her career, Svetlova was a dancer with Ida Rubinstein's experimental ballet troupe, going on to appear as a soloist with such prominent companies as the Original Ballet Russe, American Ballet Theatre, Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and the New York City Opera Ballet.
