Signed photograph of the great British stage actress in a scene from the 1931 pre-Code film The Guardsman, appearing alongside Alfred Lunt, her husband, and Roland Young. Fontanne has inscribed "sincerely / Lynn Fontanne" to lower right. In fine condition. 10 x 8 inches (25.4 x 20.3 cm.).Fontanne was one half of a prominent American husband-and-wife acting team, performing with Alfred Lunt together in more than two dozen theatrical productions. The pair had a long and popular associated with Noël Coward. (19620)
