"The Provocative, Exotic Rage of Paris" - Original Program

Colorful bifold promotional flyer from a one-week residency by the legendary dancer, singer, and actress at the RKO Boston in June of 1951, promoting her as "the provocative, exotic rage of Paris," "the most daring entertainer of our times!," and "the toast of three continents."  The center of the program features four halftone photographs of Baker, and the back page notes that the act will also include Leo de Lyon, Buddy Rich, and his orchestra.  In fine condition.  6.5 x 8.5 inches (16.5 x 21.6 cm.).

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
