Signed photograph of the great American actor, the original Willy Loman in Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, who has inscribed "To Paul– / Good luck- / Lee J. Cobb."  In fine condition.  8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm.).

Cobb was a prolific character actor, appearing in dozens of films over forty years.  He was nominated for an Academy Award twice, for his supporting roles in The Brothers Karamazov and On the Waterfront, and is perhaps best-remembered today for his role in 12 Angry Men.

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
