Signed 1917 Recital Program

Fine original UC Berkeley recital program, boldly signed and dated 1917 in pencil by the supreme Belgian violinist. Signed additionally by the pianist, Beryl Rubinstein and in very fine condition. The program amusingly requests at the foot that "Ladies will please remove their hats." 23.5 x 19.5 cm.

Carl Flesch called him "the most outstanding and individual violinist I have ever heard in my life," and he was the dedicatee of many major works from Debussy, Saint-Saens, Franck, Chausson and others. (4949)
