Signed postcard photograph of the glamorous soprano, as seen in an elaborate fur outfit through a mist of snowflakes! Boldly signed with her name alone in black ink. Mounting remnants on verso, else fine. 9 x 14 cm.A pupil of Marchesi, she was the wife of legendary Metropolitan Opera Manager Gatti-Casazza through most of his tenure and sang 369 performances at the Met , including first performances there of operas such as "Francesca da Rimini", "La Cena delle Beffe","Cleopatra's Night", "La Fille de Madame Angot","Prince Igor" etc. (8017)
