Large format Setzer of Vienna photograph of the great Moravian soprano, a star in Vienna and at the Metropolitan Opera who created important roles in Strauss, Janáček, Korngold, Wolf-Ferrari, and Suppe.  Jeritza has inscribed and boldly signed to Charles Drumheller, tenor and longtime rehearsal pianist at the Metropolitan and Chicago Lyric Opera:  "To Mr. Charly / with heartiest greetings / Maria Jeritza / 1934" to the photographer's mount.  Moderate wear to margins of mount and photographer's original glassine overlay, overall in fine condition.  Photograph measures 5.75 x 7.75 inches (14.6 x 19.7 cm.), mounted to 10 x 13.75 inches (25.4 x 34.9 cm.).
